Got Mice?
Are you looking for a working cat to help control your barns, warehouses or business rodent problem? We can help you find the cats for the job.
White Wings Rescue is frequently asked to take in semi-social cats. Our goal is to place these cats directly into homes where they can be indoor/outdoor working cats or barn cats. Housing these cats in a shelter environment can be stressful and negatively impact the health of the cats.
All cats placed through WWR have age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, and have received a medical evaluation.

How Do I Apply For Adoption?

Then we will be in touch with you to chat about next steps.
What Is The Criteria For Barn Cat Placement?
- BARN cats must be confined to an enclosed area such as a shop, tack room, or barn for a MINIMUM of two weeks. They need to learn this is home.
- NO Decon can be currently in use to control rodents.
- THEY must be given food and water on a regular basis. They cannot hunt and be healthy enough to do their job if food is not provided.
- A warm place in winter and shelter from the elements must be provided for health and predator protection.
- Homes away from busy roads is preferred.
- These cats must be treated with kindness and respect.
What Do You Guys Do?
We go to homes or businesses at the request of the homeowners or business owner/manager to help with stray or feral cats or kittens. We do NOT go on any private property or business property without permission.
We will trap cats on those properties. Feral cats being cared for on those properties are altered and returned. If possible, we find homes for them as barn cats. Friendly strays can be rehomed if there is room at the rescue. They will be scanned for a microchip and an attempt will be made to find an owner.
They will be posted on our website or Facebook page and if not claimed within 5 days, they will be put up for adoption. Kittens are never returned to the outdoors and are adopted out.
We try to guide people with information and resources if they need help with stray or feral cats or kittens if we cannot help them due to being at capacity at the rescue.
How Do I Get A Cat / Kitten
